Wetlands Preserved
Dean Budnick
2006-04-14

In April of 1989 I first crossed the threshold of 161 Hudson Street. While the décor initially marked the venue as something of a 60s throwback, the club felt vital and of the present as well. Beverage in hand, I bounded from the VW bus, to the stage, down to the “inner sanctum,” back up to the wall of petitions in the earth station, and once again to the stage, feeling the best of contact highs. Fifteen years later I began work on a film that I hope encapsulates the wonder of that experience.

So, I'm proud to announce...

I'll have more to come in the near future on the film, on the Green Apple Music & Art Festival and of course on the Jammys.

Until then, see you out there...

Later days and peace,
Dean
