HeadCount, Taylor and Dave Vann Too
Dean Budnick
2007-05-26

Last month I introduced three new regular contributors to the site: Annabel Lukins, Evan Winiker and Rob Johnson. This month I’m proud to say we’ve upped the ante once again. Our latest round of contributors include: HeadCount, Taylor Hill and Dave Vann.

I’m sure you’re familiar with HeadCount (and if you’re not you should be). Pharmer’s Almanac author Andy Bernstein and Disco Biscuits bassist Marc Brownstein formed this non-for-profit voter registration group in 2004, and that year it registered over 50,000 voters across the country. The HeadCount column will offer updates, information and insight from various figures within the organization.

Taylor Hill has been associated with the site for some time now. He may be most (in)famous for his interview with Ann Coulter, which ran last year, although he has also spoken with Al Franken, Butch Trucks and be sure to look for his upcoming Widespread Panic feature. He’s also a steady presence at Bonnaroo.

Speaking of Bonnaroo I may have first met Dave Vann face to face at the first Bonnaroo (then again it was likely before that) where I have memories of him late night (make that early morning) helping me with some Photoshop work (while he lobbied to include his images in the Beacon). Dave will deliver a photo essay each month.

And I reckon that’s all. For now…

Later days and peace
Dean
