Signs along the curvy road into Horning's helped set the mood for the weekend. 
The official bird of Horning's Hideout. Their screech is the official sound. You could hear the real thing, and human imitators, throughout the day and night.
Zilla provided an inspired set for Thursday night's early arrivals. Here Jamie Janover addresses his kit.

Every afternoon at Initiation Camp, you could enjoy the Power of Sound workshop along with a dip in Dragon Lake. The workshop was an open mic format with Ty North and Scott Law acting as the house band.

The Cube-A-Tron in Evolution Camp entertained many a festivalgoer until the wee hours.
All theme camps featured domes where you could view art and dance to dj music late into the evening. Here's Expression Camp reflected off the pond.
The Lucent Dossier Circus provided quite an interesting mix of scary and sexy for their Saturday opening performance, as well as during Saturday's extended set break. This was the scary part. 
And this, the other.
Smiles were a major theme of the weekend, onstage and off.
In a possible preview of things to come, the Barefoot Boys mixed things up in Saturday's first set, with Keith on acoustic guitar, Jason on drum kit, and Travis on bass. Billy even took a turn on the bass (which was almost as big as he is) for a rendition of "When I Paint My Masterpiece"

A highlight for many a festivalgoer, Saturday's AHA! performance amazed and inspired. 
The energy Saturday night was palpable.
Another Horning's tradition, Sunday morning sunrise bubbles over the lake.
As part of the Groove Is In The Art adventure game, you could add your own prayer flag to this rope above Expression Camp, alongside flags attached during the first Horning's Incident back in July of 2000.
