The Jammys will take place at New York’s Irving Plaza on June 22 (with an after-show party at Wetlands). One of the highlights of the evening will be the Hall of Fame tributes featuring some of today’s notable performers celebrating the music of their her oes and muses (just wait and see what we have planned- we’ll announce more next week). Of course we’ll also be handing out awards to some deserving musicians and supporters of the scene. To that end we can use your help. We’ll be announcing the full slate of categories and nominations in two weeks but before then, we’d like your input on nominees for each of the following categories. Please send us your selections (up to three in each category) to jammys@jambands.com.

1. Road Trip of the Year (Feel free to nominate yourself- describe your trip in two paragraphs- it had to take place between Jan 1, 1999 and April 1, 2000).

3. Community Service Award- what organization within the scene deserves to be recognized for philanthropic work?
