Once again we are very excited to have all of these fantastic bands as part of The HGMN!

OM Trio - This band joined The HGMN in January and brings killer west coast keyboard funk that crosses countless musical boundaries! They currently have 3 CD's and tour California, Washington, and Oregon among other states.

Drums and Tuba - This NYC-based trio is rapidly gaining attention for their unusual instrumentation and wholly unique sounds. Tuba, guitar, and drums comprise this band, and they use all kinds of samples and styles to create their one-of-a-kind music. They boast 4 CD's (including the recent release "Vinyl Killer") and a heavy national touring schedule.

Rebecca's Statue - Fearless experimental rock with remarkable vocals from Chicago! These guys have a classic sound that is accentuated by a wealth of new ideas. They have one CD, "Drinking From the Water Clock", that features Son Seals and Fareed Haque. Their tours have included many shows in Illinois and are currently expanding to include Colorado, Iowa, Indiana, Tennessee, Missouri, Michigan, and more. They are also featured on the Mockingbird Foundation Phish Tribute CD, performing with Son Seals.

Psydecar - Uplifting sounds from San Diego, CA! This reggae/world/jazz/funk/Latin outfit creates some of the smoothest sounds known to man. Some of the members were in Wise Monkey Orchestra, and both of Psydecar's CD's are excellent. Southern California is a stomping ground for the band as they continue to expand their tour plans into Nevada and beyond.

The Motet - What can I say about this band that I haven't already failed miserably trying to say? Anything can happen when this Boulder, Colorado "Electric Americubafrican Groove" ensemble takes the stage! Their two CD's, "Breathe" and "Play", are a testament to their amazing talent. Their tours have taken them from Colorado to Louisiana and New Mexico among other states.

Dr. Didg - This whirlwind of ancient and modern sounds has already become a favorite among festival freaks and music fans across the nation. The irresistible drone of didgeridoo is used as a lead instrument or looped and accentuated with a full band to create swirling, dance-ready music that will blow your mind. HGMN currently has 5 killer CDs by Dr. Didg. Their hectic international touring schedule has elevated their status to one of the best bands in the world.

mood food - Serious jazz! You never know what twisty musical turn this band will speed through next! Their expansive debut CD features some truly amazing jams, and they are joined by former Grateful Dead keyboardist Vince Welnick on two tracks. Welnick has also joined the band on tour, which covers all of California as well as visits to Nevada, Arizona, Washington, and all spaces between.

Addison Groove Project - A funky good time! This talented young ensemble has been wowing audiences in the Northeast with their fiery groove cocktail of funk, jazz, and rock. Ask anyone who saw them at Berkfest 2000....they tear the house down with their pumping live shows! Their new CD was recorded live at one of their many tour stops in the Northeast US.

Wingnut - Crunchy keyboard jams from Ithaca, NY! This trio stretches out in the fertile space between jazz and rock and creates a sound all their own. Fans of darker jazz groups like Schleigho will love these guys! They have two full-length CDs available and their solid slate of gigs in New York has blossomed of late, including gigs in Texas, Louisiana, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and many more.

The Guy Smiley Blues Exchange - Yet more horns! This vacuum-sealed (yep, TIGHT) funk sextet explores some gritty grooves and smooth jazz accents on their self-titled debut CD. They have a new CD due soon and a rapidly growing tour schedule that includes their home state of Tennessee as well as Ohio, South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi, and more states throughout the south, Midwest, and mid-Atlantic.

Fuzzy Sprouts - From the musical hotbed of Athens, Georgia comes this power trio! Their assault of guitar, bass, and drums will force you to get up and get down. Fans of All Mighty Senators will dig their quirky lyrics, unique tone, and mix of hard rock, funk, and pop. They have two CDs available and tour heavily from Pennsylvania to Florida.

We'd also like to welcome back two former members of The HGMN, Schleigho and The Disco Biscuits! We're glad you're back, and it's good to have you in the band!
