Alright, well things have somewhat returned to normal here at the offices (to the extent that they can). I barely touched on this last month so what the hey, I’ll briefly crow again about the fact that we are now in our fourth year of publication. Not bad, eh? We intend to celebrate this month with some new elements on the site, some funky new swag and maybe even the return of my some old favorites (who knows maybe even Mikey). Stick around…
As you may have seen already, much of this month’s focus is the Wetlands. Following the grand tradition of our moe insert we offer 11 articles on the deservedly-fabled TriBeCa music venue and activism center (fun fact for those not in the know: TriBeCa stands for Triangle Below Canal St.- although I suppose it should be called TriBeCaSt). All hail Jesse Jarnow for his Herculean/Hammondian effort in putting this together. Of course all the regular stuff is here too including some nifty essays/interviews with Mickey Hart, Liza Oxnard, Doc Watson, Martin Sexton and others.
BTW, back to the big tease department, we’re already in discussions about Jammys 2002 and we may have some announcements soon.
