Relix Live Fridays

I suppose that it’s post-Thanksgiving, we’re in the holiday gift mode. To this end, I heard Brad Serling on SiriusXM a couple days ago, which called to mind the Relix Live Friday Series. Brad was on the air sharing some of the live music from Nugs.net, the site he created a decade ago. He works with a variety of artists to create their own sites that allow fans to purchase live performances they attended (or those they may have missed) from the comfort of their homes.

Since September I have been curating a selections of these each week on Relix.com. These are offered for your listening pleasure, with links to the original shows, in case you’re so moved enough to purchase the whole download. It’s a lovely win-win-win for all.

Recent offerings have included moe., Mike Gordon, Furthur and The Dead and the String Cheese Incident, who will begin their upcoming tour on November 25 in Asheville, NC.

So stop on by and give a listen, our gift to all of you…

Later days and peace,
Dean

TWEEZER!!!????!!!!! What band have you been lisnenitg to? Jam vehicles? How about the 30 minute tweezerfest on aliveone. It has funny lyrics, great jamming, good syncopation/beat, a flashy riff, it shows off the best of phish in all aspects. Tweezer is their best song but other runners up: 2. MEATSTICK!!!!( this song has been used by phish as a epic finale. Big cypress they ended their amazing midnight set with is, showing its significance, and this year at new years they staged the musical with the hotdog specifically for it. No other song can make its audience laugh the same, and its also a great jam!) 3. Harry Hood (simple but amazing…. WHERE DO YOU GOO!!!!!!) 4. The Wedge- (like the simplicity in it, also the Oddities version got me hooked) 5. The Curtain- (a great song thats really funny. so many sections its amazing, plus the acoustic version at festival 8 is nasty.)6. Carini – (if a song can make you laugh every time its got something special)
