Nita's Hideaway

12/6/00

DNB stepped into the Phoenix area, as usual, to give us a good helping of JAM. They had with them, a liquid light show which complimented the tunes, and was extremely effective in such a cozy venue as Nita's Hideaway. They opened the show as "Limited Edition" opens with Yvonne, John Hardy's Wedding and Born Sidestepper. Neil Young's Days That Used To Be was next followed by Naked Eye, which were new to our ears. Lonesome L.A. Cowboy sparked up the joint next, followed by Film At 11. The set ended with The Band's Jupiter Hollow into 4:51 off of "Keeper of the Key." The second set started quite "Dead" with Cumberland Blues, Last Lonely Eagle, Iko Iko, and Oh Babe It Ain't No Lie. The show finished off with Lonesome Highway, Edge of the Wire and Earl's Girls which sent everyone home on this Wednesday night very pleased and wondering how they were going to get up for work in a few hours. Me & Liquid Lou hung around to wish everyone a happy holiday season and to thank them for giving us Arizona Jamband Fans another memorable evening. We also commended them on the eye-candy of the liquid light show, and cast our vote to keep that dude and his machine around with them. Here are a few pictures from the evenings performance.
