Scenes from the String Summit (Part I)

Yonder Mountain String Band brought a couple of thousand people together for a splendid family reunion at Horning's Hideout over the July 18th weekend. Showcasing newer acts along with some of Yonder's predecessors, including a surprise set by Leftover Salmon, this backyard barbeque of a festival induced wide smiles and joyous vibes for all of us lucky enough to be there.

Woah… I was front row ceentr for this festival. That’s me with the black Phish ski cap at 7:26. I didn’t remember WDR recording this. Thanks a million for posting this! Now I get to watch the whole thing again and count how many times I see myself! haha.

Jon~ Good to read your tgouhhts. I agree. Some of my favorite concerts have been the ones where I’ve been silent and sitting. I suppose that exchange is more subtle. I’ll have to think on that more. Thanks!
