The Beacon Scorecard: Week Three

The Allman Brothers Band’s Beacon run charged to a close with five final shows. The group celebrated its 40th Anniversary on March 26 without any guest players, while saluting Duane Allman by interpreting the ABB’s first two studio albums, followed by a fitting "Statesboro Blues" encore. Week three guests included Kid Rock, Bob Weir and Phil Lesh, John Bell and Jimmy Herring, Billy Gibbons and Sonny Landreth. Chuck Leavell returned to the stage for a night with his former band mates (although Dickey Betts did not). Here’s the rundown… **********
