What will you remember most about 2011?

What comes to mind is building a rolling stage with and for my daughter so her band can play in the backyard. She was two at the time.

What album or albums received the most play

Gillian Welch, The Harrow & The Harvest … Mostly individual songs like Mississippi by J.J. Grey and Mofro, and by my daughter’s request: Puff the Magic Dragon, Molly and Tenbrooks, Delta Dawn, and Georgie Girl many times daily in the car.

What was your favorite show or tour in 2011?

Loved playing Asheville with my band, and others like Santa Cruz and The Gorge with Phish

What emerging band should readers watch out for in 2012?

I had a great time dancing to Orgone. Tedeschi/Trucks are riding a bit of a wave. Barika.

What’s your New Year’s resolution for 2012?

Be carefree.

Hate to say it, but I was in the studio far more than out of it. As a result I really didn’t get to see any shows.

What emerging band should readers watch out for in 2012?

I’m not sure but I can guarantee you the term “dubstep” will be connected to it!

What’s your New Year’s resolution for 2012?

To finally learn how to speak Flemish.
