Auld Lang Syne Set 6: Neal Evans, The Dear Hunter, Brian Haas, Todd Stoops, Reed Mathis, Adam Deitch…

ALEX TOTH (RUBBLEBUCKET)

What will you remember most about 2011?

Easily the two wildest days were on music video shoots. On April 2 we shot Silly Fathers where we
marched from Time Square to Brooklyn and made our way to an old WWII fort and beach in Queens. And on a cold rainy September night, Down in The Yards which we shot overnight in a cemetery (debauchery) and culminated with Kal and I getting totally naked at sunrise, covering ourselves with mud, dancing around and making out.

What albums appear most in your iTunes or iPod?

In constant flux. probably Beach Boys’ Pet Sounds or Machine Dreams by Little Dragon.

What was the best musical discovery you made in 2011?

Probably digging into the songwriting of Neil Young (better late than never!)

What was your favorite show or tour of 2011?

Show: NYE (was a shining moment as I chugged from a champagne bottle in front of 700 people and a large brass band I had organized marched past the stage.)

Tour: most recent fall tour was amazing.

What musicians should readers look out for in 2012?

Superhuman Happiness, Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt (most creative live show!),
Reptar, Beyondo, Cuddle Magic

Are there any musicians you would like to see collaborate in 2012?
Rubblebucket and Timbaland! hahaha

Do you have any New Year’s resolutions?

Take care of my body, lots of music writing, enjoy the ride.

ADAM DEITCH (LETTUCE, BREAK SCIENCE)

What will you remember most about 2011?

Getting to chill, work on a song, and play live with the Hip Hop Legend Pharoahe Monch

What album or albums received the most play?

Really weird, random international Psych rock from the early 70s that I’ve been sampling

*What was your favorite show or tour in 2011?

Break Science at Electric Forest…..it went off!*

What emerging band should readers watch out for in 2012?

Neal Evans solo record called BANG ....it’s the illest

What’s your New Year’s resolution for 2012?

Lettuce and Break Science at Red Rocks with Redman and Snoop Dogg!!!

I would really like Deitch’s New Year’s resolution to happen in 2012. “Lettuce and Break Science at Red Rocks” – Abso-frickin’-lutely!
