Homegrown Happenings
Edited by Marcie Vogel

I'd like to start by welcoming a new band to the Home Grown Music Network! TUNJi, the self-proclaimed "forefathers of go-go Afro-pop" hail from Austin, TX. Their CD "Last Night's Wine" is brimming with energy and hypnotic funk. The disc was engineered and co-produced by Phillip Harvey, live soundman for Medeski, Martin, and Wood. The funk is strong with this one.

David Lynch, writer for The Austin Chronicle has this to say about TUNJi: "A piano man that can swing and croon like Dr. John, or growl and stomp like Tom Waits. The right tools for infectious fun!"
