Jerry Garcia Band - "Don't Let Go" Double CD - This two-disc set features possibly the greatest incarnation of the Jerry Garcia Band! It includes Jerry, Keith and Donna Godchaux, John Kahn, and Ron Tutt, and was recorded live at the Orpheum Theatre in San Francisco, California on May 21, 1976. This first of two releases from the JGB archives features "After Midnight", "They Love Each other", and more, plus a bonus track of "Mighty High". $22.00

Project Z - self-titled CD - Life-changing....mind-blowing...lots of adjectives apply to this CD! Col. Bruce Hampton - "Arkansas" and "One Ruined Life of a Bronze Tourist" CDs - Two experimental music masterpieces! Expect pure "outertainment" as Col. Bruce takes you on a journey through the "outside" of his mind...words mean nothing, or whatever you want them to...music is a toy to be manhandled....and chaos is defined as sound! "Arkansas" was released in 1987 and features guests like Oteil Burbridge, Jimmy Herring, T Lavitz, and more..."Ruined Life" has been freaking people out since 1978 and includes some of the first music of its kind. $15.00 each

Big Ass Truck - "Who Let You in Here?" CD - Southern style! This eclectic bunch combines college rock, hip-hop, and a bluesy funk style to create a new form. Seemingly normal melodies take bizarre twists, accentuated by the squawks and scribbles of a DJ, always with a touch of the funk! $15.00

Soulhat - "Experiment on a Flat Plane" CD - Oddball acoustic guitar wizards immerse you in their vision! This album is a finely crafted, surprise-filled journey! John Scofield - "Works for Me" CD - The man is a chameleon, and we are lucky to witness his changing musical hues! John Scofield's newest disc is a snazzy hybrid of traditional jazz textures and millenial sensibility. Logical melodies are gleefully accentuated with improvisational colors. This is a more organic sound than "Bump" and "A Go-Go", featuring the letter-perfect bass of Christian McBride, and wonderful performances from Kenny Garrett (alto sax), Billy Higgins (drums), and Brad Mehldau (piano). $16.00

The Motet - "Breathe" and "Play" CD's - Coloradismo! This Boulder sextet funks easily, grooves with flavor, and enlists elements of world music, jazz, cuban, calypso, and more into their well-refined sound. It's been the toughest CDs to describe that I have written about! How about this - they make everything they do sound so easy, it's like anything could happen at any moment, and it does. Rebecca's Statue - "Drinking from the Water Clock" CD - This self-produced CD from one of the most original bands tearing up the midwest contains over an hour of original material and features blues master Son Seals and jazz guitar virtuoso Fareed Haque. They mix lyrical folk with world beats and modern jazz to create polyrhythmic, guitar-driven music with a backbeat. $13.00

North Mississippi Allstars - "Shake Hands with Shorty" CD - Find out what the buzz is about! This disc drips with Delta vibes! This band makes a lot of noise for a trio, and it's good stuff. Killer slide guitar, bass-heavy drums, and a classic blues bass that can change the feel of a song in one bar. A wonderful mix of new and old! $15.00

The Motet - "Breathe" CD - Another wonderful, stylistically varied recording from one of the most absurdly talented bands around! The groove, funk, and swing with ease, and incorporate many international rhythms to create a sound that can only be described as "Coloradismo"! $14.00

Club d'Elf - "As Above: Live at The Lizard Lounge" CD - Two discs of supremely satisfying audio manipulation! Features DJ Logic, Dr. Didg, founder Mike Rivard, and many more guests. Club d'Elf shows are a trip into a world of ordered chaos, where anything can happen and does happen. They blend seemingly dissimilar musical genres like hip-hop, free jazz, electronica, and Moroccan and West African trance, into flowing musical excursions for the mind. 2 live CDs. $16.00

Susan Tedeschi - "Just Won't Burn" CD - This Grammy nominee for "Best New Artist" proves her skills on this wildly popular CD! Susan has appeared with bands like Gov't Mule, The Allman Brothers, Phil and Friends, Derek Trucks Band, and more. Her blues sensibility and fiery vocals will scorch your speakers! $15.00
