Hey Folks!
I'm writing you from sunny Santa Monica where we are enjoying the first
leg of our eight week tour.
Thanks for the great responses to last month's article. I haven't
received that many in a long time. I appreciated hearing everyone's kind
words and sharing similar stories of awakening and awareness.
Happily on Feb 25 we had baby #2 in my family. Emma and newborn Talia
are with us and we couldn't be happier. Life is giving more than I'm
giving back that is for sure. I have a quest for balance to undertake.
This tour is extra difficult. Being away from my newborn for the first
eight weeks of her life is painful, and consistently provides me with a
good mental wrench to work with each day. Tragically, its almost easier
to try and not think about the family back home; although I can't help
myself. One thing that I really could use would be some advice from
other touring musicians that have children? How do they deal with being
gone for so long? I'm fortunate. There are good people looking after
the kids. There aren't many people who would put up with it. I'm
fortunate like I said...
Right now, the band is doing a huge tour across the West and up and down
the Coast and VEGAS and so forth. There are many people comin from miles
around to the Vegas show at Legend's. I have heard so many great things
about the club and its history. Great Biscuits and Seapods shows went on
at Legend's from what we've heard. Also my good friend, Sky Allen from
Minneapolis will be having his bachelor party in Vegas with many of our
closest friends flying in from The Twin Cities. Please feel free to come
and join us this weekend!
We are also doing a tour with Snapple...yup, the beverage. Together we
are hitting up tons of colleges up and down the Coast and giving away
tons of free juice. There is no catch with is the coolest. They give
you free juice and we give you free juice! If you are in Cali, check
your college schedule cause we may playin during your lunchbreak! We'll
check back with you next month for the full report.
Again, thanks for the encouraging words last month and I appreciate you
reading my braindumps...
