Howdy Everyone! We've been hard at work here at HGMN HQ making improvements (thanks to YOUR suggestions - keep them coming!) and getting ready for FESTIVAL SEASON! Our website is getting a new look! Rejoice, festival followers! Walther Productions ( http://www.walther-productions.com ) has announced the All Good Festival 2000 which will be held at Buffalo Gap Community Camp in Capon Bridge, WV, May 19-21. Some of you may remember the venue from the "Stompin' 99" festival. The H ome Grown Booth will be on hand to serve up your favorite music merchandise and information. Ray's Music Exchange - "AliveXchange" CD - This adventuresome, seven-piece ensemble blends intricate jazz with a highly danceable, pulsating funk/rock rhythm and a penchant for the exploratory. Their debut live CD won the Cincinnati Entertainment Award for album of the year. Phillip J. Patti of The News Record says: "This first album frames an instant in the life of this group and reveals some incredible music that is unique and boundary-crossing." $12.00

All Mighty Senators - "Raw Power Live!" CD- The new Home Grown members have released their most energetic recording yet! Recorded at the 9:30 club in Washington, DC, the disc features 15 tracks of fresh prime funk, ranging from new, unreleased s ongs like "Giant Steps" and "(Chunky Buttered) Soul" to Senators concert staples like "No Clothes On" and "Superfriends". $12.00

The Floodplain Gang - "Blind Ride" CD - a dynamic group of string and percussion players from Boulder, CO, together now for almost 4 years, FPG would prefer to spend an evening dabbling in bluegrass, rock, jazz, folk, blues and reggae than be loc ked in a specific genre. Each FPG show promises many consistencies, such as tight 3-part harmonies, fast fret work, and deep exploration of the music through jams. Their CD, which was recorded prior to the arrival of current vocalist Krista Smith, as we ll as Floodplain Gang T-shirts, is now available. $12.00

Jamie Janover - "Evolutions- Hammered Dulcimer Improvisations" CD and "Realms"CD, the latter of which features 20 guest musicians such as Jon Fishman, Tony Furtado, and The Jazz Mandolin Project with Jamie Masefield, Stacey Starkweather and Gabri el Jarrett. Jamie is a self-taught drummer, percussionist, and master of the hammered dulcimer. His recorded contributions and live appearances are far too numerous to list here. Popularly known for his collaborations with Phish, Jamie has also played with Leftover Salmon, The Slip, Jazz Mandolin Project, String Cheese Incident, and dozens of other bands. He has appeared on scores of albums encompassing every musical realm imaginable. CDs $12.00 / Cass $8.00

Uncle Sammy - "Live at Broadway Joe's". Recorded live on May 29, 1999 and now available from the newest HGMN Members. Uncle Sammy consists of four musical vagabonds from the streets of Boston who wander across sonic landscapes in a free-spirited celebration of funk, jazz, rock, classical, and Afro-Cuban rhythms and textures. Their huge, spontaneous jams veer wildly off-course from the context of the song, taking the scenic route before completing the journey or maybe embarking on another aural escapade $12.00

Jupiter Coyote - "Live" 2CD set - Brand-new, expansive live set from one of the most dedicated touring bands of the 1990's. Features plenty of JC favorites plus some new material.
