Comedian Jim Breuer has been confirmed to host the second annual Jammys. The event will be held this Thursday, June 28 at Roseland Ballroom in New York City. Breuer, a former cast member of Saturday Night Live, has appeared in several motion pictures including Half Baked and Dick. Artists performing at the Jammys include The Del McCoury Band featuring Robert Randolph and DJ Logic, Jazz Mandolin Project featuring an all-star centerfielder from the Bronx, Tom Tom Club featuring Michael Franti (Spearhead), Col. Bruce Hampton & Friends featuring the Steve Kimock Band & Derek Trucks, Soulive featuring Talib Kweli and Me’Shell Ndegeocello, The Disco Biscuits featuring John Popper, Les Claypool’s Frog Brigade featuring Junior Brown, and a special dual-stage tribute to the Meters featuring George Porter Jr. and special guests. The Derek Trucks Band will be the house band for the evening.
