Terrapin Presents has extended the $60 discounted ticket deadline for the Summit Music Festival to this weekend (originally slated for June 24). Beginning next week tickets will cost $90. This is our way for making it up to those people who were disappointed with the lightning delays at the Vibes, says Terrapin Owner Ken Hays. We did wind up getting in 25 of the 32 hours of scheduled music. We were truly lucky that some of the most severe weather wound up just missing us. We were watching the weather reports very closely. People couldnt see that and it didnt rain that hard. We were very close to getting destroyedThis is a good faith gesture on our behalf to help people feel a little better about what were doing.
Full-weekend discounted tickets can be ordered via phone through Friday, July 13 and via the Internet through Sunday, July 15. Fans that have purchased tickets since June 24 can obtain a $20 refund by visiting the Terrapin merchandise booth at the Summit Music Festival. A photo ID will be required.
The festival will take place August 17 19 in Mariaville, NY. The line-up features String Cheese Incident, who will appear on both Saturday and Sunday, Govt Mule (featuring Warren Haynes, Oteil Burbridge, Matt Abts and Chuck Leavell), Burning Spear, the Funky Meters, Jazz Mandolin Project (featuring Jamie Masefield, Jon Fishman and Danton Boller), Max Creek, Bernie Worrell and the Woo Warriors, Original P (featuring the Deep Banana Blackout Horns), The Roots, and the John Scofield Band (featuring Billy Martin, Larry Goldings and Jesse Murphy).
