New York’s Wetlands Preserve has announced that it will reopen this weekend. The club was originally scheduled to close its doors on September 15, but was forced to cancel its remaining shows due to the attacks on September 11. This Friday, fans will get a chance to visit the venue; however no live music will take place.

“We’re going to be playing the best music from our archives that was recorded here at the club over the years,” says Wetlands owner Peter Shapiro. “We thought it would be a nice way for everyone to come together.”

There is a possibility that live music will take place Saturday night. More details will be announced in the coming days. Although there will not be a cover charge on Friday night, donations will be accepted at the door. All proceeds will be donated to relief efforts in New York City.
