Trey Anastasio, Bob Weir and Nicholas Payton performed together last night at the Bushnell Theater in Hartford, CT. The musicians were participating in a panel discussion held by the Connecticut Forum titled The Power of Music. The night began with Anastasio playing an acoustic version of The Inlaw Josie Wales. For the next two hours, Anastasio, Weir and Payton, along with opera singer Beverly Sills, discussed various philosophies of music. Weir then played an acoustic version of Victim or the Crime and Payton performed Potato Head Blues. To end the evening, Anastasio (acoustic guitar), Weir (electric guitar) and Payton (trumpet) performed a jazzy improvisational piece of music.
