Grateful Dead members Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann and Bob Weir performed with Phil Lesh & Friends on New Years Eve at Kaiser Auditorium in Oakland, CA. Mickey, Billy and Bobby rode through the crowd on a float dressed as wizards shortly before midnight. They joined the band for Not Fade Away > Truckin > Playing in the Band > The Wheel > Playing Reprise > Sugar Magnolia.
Derek Trucks also sat in with Phil & Friends for several songs including In The Midnight Hour > Hard to Handle in the first set and Dark Star > Terrapin Station > No More Do I > Uncle John’s Band’ in the second set.
