Members of Deep Banana Blackout took the stage with Govt Mule last night at the Webster Theatre in Hartford, CT. Hope Clayburn (alto saxophone), Rob Somerville (tenor saxophone), Bryan Smith (trombone) and Cyrus Madan (keyboards) joined the band at the beginning of the second set for Down & Out in New York City, Tower of Powers What is Hip?, James Browns Doin’ it to Death (with Clayburn singing lead vocals and trading solos with Haynes) and Otis Reddings Ive Been Loving You Too Long (without Madan).
