Trey Anastasio Tour Dates Announced
The summer tour itinerary for Trey Anastasio and his band has been announced. The nine-piece ensemble features Anastasio (guitar), Tony Markellis (bass), Russ Lawton (drums), Jennifer Hartswick (trumpet), Ray Paczowski (keyboards), Russell Remington (tenor saxophone), Dave Grippo (alto saxophone), Andy Moroz (trombone) and newcomer Cyro Baptista (percussion). The tour kicks off May 21 at The Paramount Theatre in Seattle, WA and will include a two-night at Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, NV on May 31 (with Los Lobos and Spearhead) and June 1 (with The Roots and Antibalas). The band will also play two nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on June 3 and 4 and two shows at the Mountain Aire Festival in Angels Camp, CA on May 25 and 26. Other highlights include an outdoor show June 15 at Champlain Valley Exposition in Essex Junction, VT and a concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York City on June 18. Treys new self-titled album will be released April 30 on Elektra. It includes guest appearances by saxophonist Dana Colley (Morphine), trombonist Rob Volo (Deep Banana Blackout), trumpeter Nicholas Payton and vocalists Curtis King Jr., Lisa Fisher (The Rolling Stones) and Sharon Bryant. The album was co-produced by Anastasio and Bryce Goggin.
Trey and his band will also tour this fall.
