String Cheese Incident has confirmed its summer tour. The itinerary includes a three-night stand at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis, MO (June 17 19), two nights at The Meadows in Steamboat, CO (July 3 4, with special guests Yonder Mountain String Band, Earl Scruggs, James Brown and Corey Harris), a two-night stand at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO (July 5 – 6 with special guest Robert Randolph), two shows at Rivers Edge in Somerset, WI (July 10 11) and two performances at Radio City Music Hall in New York City (July 19 20). Ben Harper will open two dates: July 12 at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, WI and July 13 at Deer Creek Music Center in Noblesville, IN.
Keller Williams and members of Ozomatli took the stage with String Cheese over the weekend. Friday at UIC Pavilion in Chicago, IL, members of Ozomatli joined the group at the end of the first set for Sing a New Song -> San Jose, which included an extended drum solo. Saturday at UIC Pavilion, Williams sat in for Freeker by the Speaker midway through the second set. Last night at Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor, MI, Williams emerged for Little Hands -> Fuel for the Road in the first set.
