Strangefolks Luke Patchen Montgomery (guitar) and Erik Glockler (bass) will play two acoustic shows next week. The duo will take the stage May 22 at Mike Libbys in Durham, NH and May 23 at Mainley Brews in Waterville, ME.
Glockler spoke about the possibility of playing solo acoustic gigs in the March issue of Jambands.com . Frankly, Im kind of scared, said Erik. Jon [Trafton] and I were talking about doing an acoustic set in Maine with some of our friends there. Id feel more comfortable if I had someone else with me. I think Id have to work up my courage. Playing in a band theres this buffer zone with four other guys on stage. I can remember watching Reid [Genauer] play by himself a while ago when he was still in the band, and he was scared shitless. At the end of the show I asked him how it was and he said, Oh man, I missed you guys. Thats the thing, Id have to be in the right place at the right time or really just work up my courage to do it.
