Sonia Dada has announced the release of its new album, Barefoot Soul. The CD, the groups fifth, is due out on August 20. Look for a national tour in October and November in support of the disc. The band has also launched an online radio station, featuring non-stop Sonia Dada recordings, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Sonia Dada formed in Chicago in the early 90s, when guitarist Dan Pritzer stumbled upon the three-part, a cappella harmonies of Paris Delane, Michael Scott and Sam Hogan in a subway station. Pritzer had been looking for a vocalist to join his band, but instead wound up with three (Hogan has since left the band).
The group plays next June 21 at the Randolph Street Festival in Chicago. Other acts performing include The Baldwin Brothers and Iffy. For details, visit the bands website.
