The surviving members of The Doors will perform together this summer as part of Harley Davidsons Open Road Tour. Keyboardist Ray Manzarek, guitarist Robbie Krieger and drummer John Densmore along with vocalist Ian Astbury (The Cult) will take the stage September 6 at the California Speedway in Fontana, CA. There is the possibility that Densmore will be unavailable due to health reasons, in which case a replacement will be named later.
According to The Doors official website, the band has been writing new material and is expected to enter the studio next year, following a full U.S. and European tour.
