Reverend Jeff Mosier, formerly of Blueground Undergrass, has announced that he is now hosting Working Class Hippie Nights on the second and fourth Thursday of every month at the Brandyhouse in Atlanta, GA (or as he refers to it, every Thursday except the first and third). The shows will feature different musicians joining Mosier, percussionist Count M’Butu (ARU), and acoustic bassist REX (Celtic Soul). I’m honestly excited about this series of shows and anticipate lots of wonderful music over the months to come, says Mosier, who jokes that he has signed a 28-year contract with the venue. I’m trying to offer an early show with good music and quality musicians that I play with and other great talents who have pledged to help me as they tour in and through AtlantaIts like a midweek prayer service.’ All of the shows are being recorded and released on Rockslide.com.

Next Thursday, July 25, Mosier will be joined by Vacunao, a 14-piece Afro-Cuban ensemble that features members of the Grammy Award winning Los Munequitos de Matanzas (the full band will perform later in the night). Showtime is 9 p.m. For complete details, visit www.revjeffmosier.com.
