Visual artists will join Galactic on stage for select dates of its upcoming, 22-date Sight of Sound Tour. Artists SKW and Doze will be creating an original mural on stage as the band performs at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia on November 14, Roseland Ballroom in New York City on November 15, The Roxy in Boston on November 17 and the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC on November 22 and 23. Each show on the tour will also include a screening of Watching Paint Dry, a film that uses digital time-lapse photography to capture the nuances of a painted image in progress. The tour kicks off on October 30 at the Gypsy Tea Room in Dallas, followed by a Halloween performance at Stubbs in Austin. The itinerary also includes stops in New Orleans, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Pennsylvania. Mofro will open the Southeast dates, while the North Mississippi All-stars will appear on a few shows in the Northeast.
