The Big Wu has announced that guitarist and vocalist Jason Fladager has left the group. According to a statement posted to the bands website today, the decision was made so Jason could be closer to his family and loved ones. Jason was committed to making this band the best it could be, not for his own satisfaction but for the joy of those who were out there dancing or smiling in the back every night, for all of you. There is no harder place to raise a family than on the road, and we support his decision to dedicate time to that cause.

Both Fladager and the band members were unavailable for comment.
The Wu kicks off its fall tour September 21 at The Music Box in Omaha, NE.
