Blue Oyster Cult has been confirmed to perform at the 2002 Jammys Presented by TDK. Original members Eric Bloom (vocals), Buck Dharma (guitar) and Allen Lanier (guitar, keyboards) will collaborate with other musicians on the main stage. ‘For me, this is where it starts to get fun,’ adds Jammys Producer and Jambands.com editor-in-chief, Dean Budnick. ‘I’ve already received quite a bit of email from people speculating about which musicians will collaborate. Also, now that folks have seen the awards themselves, they seem real psyched to learn who will win. The Jammy bowls of the past definitely had their charm but the people at Fender really outdid themselves in creating this year’s awards.’

Meanwhile, longtime Saturday Night Live writer and actor Al Franken will be a presenter at this years show. Other presenters include Vermont Democratic Senator Patrick Leahy, Grateful Dead lyricist John Barlow, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame CEO Terry Stewart, rock journalist Anthony DeCurtis and 1993 French Open doubles champion and ESPN analyst Luke Jensen.
