Special guests joined Marco Benevento and The Jazz Farmers last night at Tobacco Road in New York City. Saxophonist Hope Clayburn (Deep Banana Blackout), saxophonist Sam Kininger (Soulive) and drummer Stanton Moore (Galactic) took the stage for Grant Greens Selmas March and Led Zeppelins Moby Dick, which was played in honor of drummer John Bonham, as Wednesday marked the twenty-second anniversary of his death. Clayburn, Kinninger and saxophonist Michael Kammers went on to jam with the band for the entire second.
The Jazz Farmers play next Thursday, October 3, at The Knitting Factory in New York City. For details, visit www.jazzfarmers.com.
