Deep Banana Blackout saxophonist Rob Somerville took the stage with Govt Mule last night at the Webster Theater in Hartford, CT. Somerville emerged in the second set for a cover of Otis Reddings Ive Got Dreams to Remember.
The last time Govt Mule played the Webster Theater on 2/26/02, several members of Deep Banana sat in, including Somerville, Hope Clayburn, Cyrus Madan and Bryan Smith. They have also jammed with Warren Haynes on stage with the Allman Brothers Band, when DBB toured as the opening act in the summer of 2001.
On Saturday night, following Govt Mule’s show at the State Theater in Portland, ME, Haynes, George Porter Jr., Greg Rzab and Danny Louis headed over to the Alehouse to perform with Strange Pleasure. Warren sat in on Red House, while the others joined on Full Time Teaser.
