Brothers Past has announced the release of its new studio album, titled A Wonderful Day. The group will perform the disc in its entirety during a CD release show on December 20 at the Theater of Living Arts in Philadelphia.
‘It’s basically a concept record that doesn’t get too carried away with the concept,’ says keyboardist Tom McKee. ‘Despite the title, there’s a very nocturnal vibe throughout the whole album. The narrator of these songs is an insomniac who spends his nights waiting for the sun to come up. Most of the songs are his thoughts and realizations. We wrote almost half of the songs on the album during the two weeks before we recorded, so a lot of it was very fresh and new at the time. We still haven’t debuted all the material.’
The band plays Thursday at Rexs in West Chester, PA. For more dates, visit www.brotherspast.com.
