The Seth Yacovone Band and Psychedelic Breakfast have announced plans for the Melting of the Minds Tour, an eight-date jaunt that will feature four interlocking sets each night, capped by a show-closing two-band jam. The groups first met this past fall when they shared the stage a few times. We had really had a great time,’ says Yacovone, who sat in with Psychedelic Breakfast during the recording of its new live album, Bona Fida, for a cover of the Allman Brothers Hot Lanta. We felt that both bands were a good mix musically and personality-wise. We don’t sound the same but we have similar influences. I’m also excited by the opportunity to travel with another band and spend a lot of time jamming together. It should be an intriguing time.’
The itinerary includes stops in Vermont, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and Georgia. People can expect a lot of notes, a lot of sweat, a lot of dancing, a lot of celebrating and tons of great music,’ says PB guitarist Tim Palmieri, who’s featured in Jambands.com’s current New Groove of the Month.

The tour kicks off February 28 at Johnson State College in Johnson, VT. For the full schedule, visit www.sethyac.com or www.psychedelicbreakfast.com.
