The follow-up to Wintertime Blues is set for a May 6 release. This double CD set will present highlights from the 2000 Warren Haynes Christmas Jam at the Thomas Wolf Auditorium in Asheville, NC. Performers on The Benefit Concert Vol. 2 include the Allman Brothers Band, Aquarium Rescue Unit, Chris Duarte Band, Edwin McCain, Gov’t Mule, John Popper, Kevin Kinney and of course the event’s host (with plenty of cross-pollination and guest appearances for instance ‘I Shall be Released’ with Haynes, Kinney, McCain and Popper, ‘Statesboro Blues’ with The Allman Brothers Band, John Popper and Audley Freed and ‘Come and Go Blues’ which features Gregg Allman w/ Warren Haynes). Haynes began the Christmas Jam 14 years ago at the Asheville club, 45 Cherry Street. All proceeds from CD sales will benefit Habitat For Humanity.
