Soulive welcomed special guests to the stage at each of its last two shows in California. Last night at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, Ivan Neville added vocals to Stevie Wonders classic, Jesus Children of America. The encore, Do It Again, featured Lettuce bassist Erick Coomes (aka E.D.) and Black Eyed Peas trumpeter Printz Board. Wednesday at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, Coomes returned for Do It Again (again), which also featured Dirty Dozen Brass Bands Sammy Williams (trombone) and James Mclean (guitar).
Soulive and the Steve Kimock Band kick off a two-night run at the Fillmore in San Francisco tonight. For more info, visit www.soulive.com.
