NEW ORLEANS – Galactic welcomed special guests to the stage last night at Tipitinas Uptown. Percussionist Mike Dillon and ubiquitous saxophonist Skerik both members of Garage A Trois along with Galactic drummer Stanton Moore – sat in for the majority of the show, highlighted by a raucous sax dual Black-eyed Pea in the first set. Saxophonist Jason Mingledorff, who has performed with Galactic dating back to the groups inception and is now a member of Papa Grows Funk, also joined in for Hamps Hump. Other guests included singer/songwriter Eric Lindell, who opened the show and is sometimes backed by members of Galactic, and saxophonist Harry Hardin (Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes).

Both Galactic and Garage A Trois play the Jazz and Heritage Festival this afternoon. Galactics official site is located at www.galacticfunk.com.
