Saxophonist Martin Fierro took the stage with the Steve Kimock Band Saturday at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA. Fierro joined in for Coles Law towards the end of the set and Baby Baby in the second set. Both Kimock and Fierro are former members of the California-based band Zero. Coles Law appears on the groups 1987 release, Nothing Goes Here.
In other news, Peter Apfelbaum (Hieroglyphics Ensemble, Trey Anastasio) will be sitting in with SKB over the weekend of July 10 12 in Idaho and Wyoming. Although Apfelbaum generally plays saxophone and flute, he will serve as keyboardist for the band. Guitatist Mitch Stein will be not be performing on these dates, as he will be touring in Europe.
