The 3rd annual moe.down Charity Golf Tournament will take place during the bands summer-end festival, which is slated for August 29-31 at Snow Ridge Ski Area in Turin, NY. Registration is $70, which includes golf, golf cart, lunch and drinks. All proceeds will benefit the American Diabetes Association. Tee time is 8:30 a.m. on Friday the 29th. For more information or to sign up, email [email protected].

The festival will include performances by moe., The Flaming Lips, They Might Be Giants, Rusted Root, Yonder Mountain String Band, Antigone Rising, Peter Prince and the Trauma Unit, Reid Genauer and the Assembly of Dust, Umphrey’s McGee, Vorcza Trio, Al and the Transamericans, among others.
In other news, the much-hyped 3-on-3 basketball tournament will not take place at moe.down this year due to a change in the site layout. It will return next year however and moe. manager Jon Topper is once again talking trash about Jambands.com editor and court rival Dean Budnick. Its so funny, says Topper. He thinks he’s like 7-feet tall when he walks onto the court, but hes really like 42. Once he breaks his glasses again, its all over.
