Pedal steel guitarist Gordon Stone and Percy Hill guitarist Joe Farrell took the stage with Reid Genauer and the Assembly of Dust Saturday at the Vermont Alternative Energy Festival in Randolph, VT. Stone sat in on Drawn, Bus Driver and Nine Pound Hammer in the first set, while Farrell joined for a lengthy encore that featured Stout-Hearted, Lines and Circles > Shift My Step > Lines and Circles. With Farrell on stage, three quarters of Percy Hills Core Four were represented, along with keyboardist Nate Wilson and bassist John Leccese (AOD guitarist Adam Terrell has also been performing regularly with the Hill as of late). Farrell has performed alongside Genauer several times in the past, when Reid was a member of Strangefolk. Likewise, Stone has collaborated with Genauer both live and in the studio. He appears on Strangefolks 1998 album Weightless in Water and 2000s A Great Long While.
The Vermont Alternative Energy Festival was run exclusively on French fries fat from recycled vegetable oil, as several specially-equipped generators supplied power to the stage. Aside from a brief outage during Fridays show, the weekend ran smoothly.

Genauer and AOD play Saturday, August 30, at Strangefolks Garden of Eden Festival in Plattsburgh, NY. For the full schedule, visit www.reidgenauer.com.
