The line-up for this weekends Musefest has been finalized. The event will be held at Newharts Lodge in Enfield, NY (just outside Ithaca). Performers include John Browns Body, Sim Redmond Band, Plastic Nebraska, Lost Sailors, Hank Roberts and Wiggy Dog Boy, Wingnut, Nucleus, Cletus and the Barn Burners, Oculus, Hubcap, Ritsu Katsumata, Boy with a Fish, Speer Specker Henrie and the Everett Fox Band, among several others.
What makes the event unique is the fact that admission is free, although a $20 donation is requested at the gate. Upon arrival, patrons will need to present a ticket, which can be printed out at www.musefest.org. Im very proud of this payment system because it seems very fair, says Webale, organizer of the event. I

cant afford to pay all the bands outright with
guarantees, but with this system, the bands all share
an equal percentage of the band fund, and as the
festival and the amount in donations grow, so will
their shared income, plus they get their music out to
everybody. The people who give the donation
contribute and take home a piece of the Musefest. I
hope that people might familiarize themselves with the bands from this area. Everybody wins.
Fans that make a donation of $20 or more will receive a Musefest compilation CD or t-shirt.
