String Cheese Incident welcomed several special guests to the stage during its two-night stand at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, CO this weekend. On Saturday, members of Sound Tribe Sector 9 joined in for the encore, with drummer Zack Velmer and percussionist Jeffree Lerner both stepping in to play percussion during an extended drum break that preceded On The Road. Moments later, guitarist Hunter Brown and keyboardist David Phipps took the stage for the remainder of the show.
On Friday, keyboardist John Medeski (Medeski Martin & Wood) emerged at the end of the first set for Jellyfish, which segued into Birdland. DJ Logic then added turntables to Rivertrance to begin the second set.
Cheese plays next Friday at Stubbs BBQ in Austin, TX. For the full fall schedule, visit www.stringcheeseincident.com.
