The Steve Kimock Band has added more dates to its fall schedule. The quartet, which currently includes drummer Rodney Holmes, guitarist Mitch Stein and bassist Arne Livingston, heads to the East Coast next weekend for two shows at New Yorks Bowery Ballroom on September 26 and 27. In October, the group will perform in Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Wisconsin and Illinois, where the band will celebrate Halloween with a concert at the Vic Theater in Chicago.
SKB will return to Colorado for its New Year’s run, with two shows on December 30 and 31 at the Gothic Theater in Englewood, as well as a performance at the Fox Theater in Boulder on December 29. Ticket information will be released soon.
In other news, Kimock & Friends played this past weekend at Chesters in Fayetteville, AR. The core line-up include Holmes, bassist Reed Mathis (Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey) and keyboardist Pete Sears (Jefferson Starship, Rod Stewart). Special guests included the wildly talented, yet relatively unknown Sonny Landreth on slide guitar, and vocalist Kathy Martin.
