Saxophonist Karl Denson once again performed with the Allman Brothers Band Wednesday at Anselmo Valencia Amphitheater in Tucson, AZ. He joined the group midway through the show for The Same Thing and then returned for the classic, In Memory of Elizabeth Reed to close the set.
Speaking of classics, the band has re-released its landmark double live album At Fillmore East, which was recorded by producer Tom Dowd in March and June of 1971. The new deluxe edition features six tracks that did not appear on the original record: Trouble No More, Dont Keep Me Wonderin, Midnight Rider One Way Out, Drunken Hearted Boy and a 30-minute version of Mountain Jam (most of these tracks have been available on prior releases, but never on one album).
The ABB plays at Red Rocks Amphitheatre tonight and will round out its summer tour Sunday in Puyallup, Washington. For details, visit www.allmanbrothersband.com.
