Legendary guitarist Jeff Skunk Baxter (Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers) performed with Robert Randolph & the Family Band Saturday at the Austin City Limits Festival. Baxter took the stage for Devil in Disguise, which wove in and out of Purple Haze. Earlier in the set, guitarist Luther Dickinson and his brother, drummer Cody Dickinson (both of North Mississippi Allstars) joined in for The March. Baxter and the Dickinsons also joined RRFB Friday night at Lazona Rosa in Austin.
Randolph sat in with Ben Harper yesterday, taking the stage with the Innocent Criminals for Temporary Remedy.
The Family Band plays Thursday in Chicago. For more dates, visit www.robertrandolph.net.
