The Disco Biscuits have announced that they will play a New Years Eve show at New Yorks Hammerstein Ballroom to close out 2003. While the band has performed at the venue once before opening moe.s Halloween concert in 1999 it will be the quartets first time headlining the room. Past New Year’s set lists have been decorated with asterisks for antics such as the debut of the Hot Air Balloon rock opera (98), the spontaneous scoring of the animated film Akira (99) and the band members throwing Dunkin Donuts Munchkins at the audience during Munchkin Invasion (00). Additional holiday shows will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Biscuits play Saturday at the Silo in Reading, PA and Sunday at a free concert at Penn State University. For the complete fall schedule, visit www.discobiscuits.com.
