The Derek Trucks Band has confirmed more fall dates, as the group continues to tours in support of its latest release, Soul Serenade. The band is currently touring and the Southeast and will head to the Midwest at the end of the month, making stops in Tennessee, Georgia, Louisiana, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan and Ohio. In November, Vusi Mahlasela will open a string of dates for the band and is expected to be joined by members of the DTB for a large portion of his set. Those shows will take place primarily in the Northeast.
Mahlasela, a singer/songwriter from South Africa, was featured in the film _ Amandla! A Revolution in Four-Part Harmony_, which won two awards at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival. The companion album was released on ATO Records.
