String Cheese Incident has announced plans for a brief run of shows in December. Billed as the Almost Winter Tour 2003, it kicks off December 5 and 6 at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. The band will also perform December 8 at the Fox Theatre in Redwood City, December 10 at the McDonald Theatre in Eugene, OR, December 11 at the Salem Armory in Salem, OR, December 12 and 13 at the Paramount in Seattle and December 14 at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver.
The concert in Eugene, OR on December 10 will be a benefit for the late Ken Kesey, who lived in Oregon for most of his life. On December 14, a bronze life-sized sculpture of the author sitting on a bench reading to three children will be unveiled about a block from the McDonald Theatre.
