Primus has launched www.primuslive.com, which will offer fans complete soundboard recordings via download. Each show of the current Tour de Fromage will be available for purchase in both mp3 ($9.95) and FLAC ($12.95) audio formats. The October concerts will be available beginning on November 7 and the November shows will be available within 48 hours of each performance (similar to the live downloads series that Phish launched last year). Primus will continue to allow audience recording.

Primus features Les Claypool, Larry Lalonde and Tim Alexander, performing together for the first time in seven years and touring in support of Animals Should Not Try to Act Like People. Each show on the current tour includes a second set performance of the band’s 1991 album, Sailing The Seas of Cheese. Saxophonist Skerik, whos a member of Claypools Frog Brigade, joined the group this past Sunday in Seattle. He sat in on De Anza Jig, which hadnt been played since 1996, as well as the final song of Cheese, Los Bastardos.
